I am on vacation(sadly leaving tomorrow) and I bought a few cool things I thought you guys might like!

those are cave bear teeth

Meteorites: The large one I put a quarter by so you could tell the size. The small framed piece is a Campo Del Cielo specimen, and the slice is a pallacite.

this last pic is an overview of everything. Some minerals, some insects, and a really cool leather bound book on bee keeping with fold out anatomy illustrations of bees.
Hope you guys enjoy! I am super excited!

Does anyone here know a good source for specimen jars? I have found some that are like cheap looking jars, but I want ones that are kind of like the ones you see in old museums. I would love all sizes but I really want large jars to do things like fish, or birds, or things like that. If anyone has any sources I would love to get some feedback.

I know I haven't really posted a collection post in a while. I am suppose to be working on cleaning my office this weekend, so I might post some next week. I was just wondering if any of you guys might have to new collection photos you might want to share. I would love seeing some of them! I always learn so much from them and think "man I want to get some of those for my collection!!" it helps me see what all is out there! If I don't clean my office, I will for sure do an egg collection post, because I have gotten like 30 or 40 more since I have posted last.

I've never had a light glare happen in my photo light box... so now I wonder. Maybe horsie is actually haunted by Starlight, the Rainbow Brite horse that runs on rainbows?

A totally serendipitous find. There happened to be a swallow's nest in te eaves of the building where I worked, and one of the babies managed to fall right next to an ant's nest, where people didn't walk in an otherwise heavily trafficked area. The ants picked the skeleton clean, and the sun dried up the remaining ligaments so the little guy remained articulated, and, as far as I can tell, complete. Sorry about the small, kind of blurry photograph; my camera doesn't have a macro function and he's only about an inch across!
